For this delicate silk scarf, Headlands Alum Luke Fischbeck (AIR ’10) crafted a custom print using images from his crowd-sourced drawing project staged at a Headlands Open House. The pattern includes the brushstrokes of hundreds of visitors to his studio throughout the day. He now brings together these images to create a wearable commemoration of this collaboration with his audience. In partnership with BowTie Cause, Headlands and Fischbeck are pleased to offer the pattern as a scarf or bowtie, both 100% silk.

ABOUT THE MAKER
Luke Fischbeck is part of Sumi Ink Club, a participatory drawing project established in 2005 with Los Angeles-based artist Sarah Rara. The club produces work cooperatively in open-to-the-public meetings, which can be organized by anyone at any time. In each of its permutations, Sumi Ink Club uses group drawing as a means to open and fortify social interactions that bleed into everyday life. Sumi Ink Club is non-hierarchical: all ages, all humans, all styles.
