Headlands Predator Tea Towel

By Tucker Nichols

In collaborating with Headlands on a custom-designed tea towel, Headlands Alum Tucker Nichols (AIR ’10, AFF ’11-’12) gets at one of the loveliest and most important elements of Headlands… “that it’s beautiful and tough at the same time. Whether it’s the ocean, the fog, the owls, the mountain lions—all are beautiful, but it’s important to remember that they are dangerous too. That’s partly why I love the place so much.”

Tucker Nichols shows regularly with ZieherSmith Gallery in New York and Gallery 16 in San Francisco. His work has been featured at the Drawing Center in New York, Den Frie Museum in Copenhagen, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Denver Art Museum, and the 2010 California Biennial at the Orange County Museum of Art. His drawings have been published in McSweeney's, The Thing Quarterly, Nieves Books, and the Op-Ed pages of The New York Times.
