For this limited edition bento wrap, Jenny Sharaf translated a new series of paintings on paper into digital prints on linen. In her signature medium of house paint, Sharaf produced colorful and playful marks for four variations. Take this summer-ccentric accessory into the hills, to the beach, or just to your desk at work, where it will surely brighten up your lunch hour. The bento wraps, which can double as bandanas, are a digital dye sublimation printed on linen and produced in San Francisco, CA.
ABOUT THE MAKER:
Jenny Sharaf is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in San Francisco. Her studio practice straddles painting, installation, large scale murals and works on paper. Sharaf's paintings celebrates process, intuitive expression and the materiality of her mediums. Sharaf's formalist decisions and the development of a unique abstract language speaks to contemporary feminism,high-fashion / fast-fashion, millennial culture and simultaneously, the history of abstract art. Sharaf recently completed a public wall in Tokyo, Japan alongside a very busy train station in Nake-Meguro district. Sharaf's work is in the permanent collections of Google, Capital One, Ace Hotel, Yoko Ono, Rachel Zoe Inc and more. Sharaf received her MFA from Mills College in 2013.
